Shabab Alahli vs Alain Prematch Press Conference

Shabab Alahli head coach Rodolfo Arruaberena has confirmed that his team is ready to play the first match of the season against Alain in the 1st matchweek of the Arabian Gulf Cup, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium 9:30 pm on Friday August 23.

Speaking in the prematch press conference, Arruaberena explained that his team returned to competitions again with the start of the new season, after preparatory camp held in Slovakia and Spain, and continued training in Dubai to prepare the team for the start of the season.

The coach promised to give the chance for the young players in the upcoming match, beside some other players who didn’t have enough playing time last season, pointing out that Shabab Alahli will face big challenges this season and all the players must be ready.

He praised the young players, indicating that the team will depend on them in the near future, “I will focus on the young players, they have the capabilities to help the team and am confident they will proof themselves soon” he said.


Shabab Alahli new singing David Mariani, who accompanied the coach at the press conference, expressed his happiness to join a big club such as Shabab Alahli, in  a top football league, indicating that he is eager to start the season.

“ The UAE league is new to me because I come to the UAE for the first time, our team will face many challenges this season, and we must be ready to compete on all levels” he said.

Cartabia joins Shabab Alahli

Shabab Alahli first team has completed the signing of Federico Cartbaia, who is playing in the wing and ass attacking midfield, he signed the contract in the club head quarter in Alnahda and started the training with the team in preparation for the new season.

Cartbaia who was Born in Rosario, Argentina, on January 20, 1993, began his football career at an early age with Valencia, before being loaned to Cordoba, from where he moved to Deportivo La Coruna. He played also for the Argentina national team under 20.

Following the signing the player expressed his happiness to join Shabab Alahli, promising to do his best to help the club to attain more achievements.

Shabab Alahli signs Davide Mariani

Shabab Alahli club announced today the signing of Swiss midfielder Davide Mariani, the player signed the contract at the club’s headquarters and depart to Spain to join the team camp which is continuing preparations there.

Mariani, who was born on May 19, 1991, featured for the Bulgaria first league club Levski Sofia two weeks ago, and led the team to winning in the first round of the Europa league scoring one of the two goals.

After the signing, the player expressed his happiness to join big club like Shabab Alahli, promising to do his best to help the team achieving goals set.

Shabab Alahli concludes Slovakia camp and departs to Spain

Shabab Alahli first team concluded the first part of its preparatory camp in Slovakia, by losing 2-1 to Dorogi fc from Hungary in a friendly match. the delegation departed to Spain to start the second part of the camp, which lasts August 10.

Dorogi fc took the lead with two goals in the first half, while Ahmed Jashk deficit the gap in the second half by scoring a goal for Shabab Alahli.

Shabab Alahli to face Dorogi fc in friendly match

Shabab Alahli first team will start its friendly matches in preparation for the new season, facing Dorogi fc from Hungary today at its camp in Slovakia. This match comes within four friendlies the team to play in the pre-season camp.

The team is expected to leave Slovakia on Monday July 29, heading to Spain for the start of the second phase, which will be concluded on August 10.

National Team Players Join Shabab Alahli Camp

Seven of Shabab Alahli players from the first national team and Olympic team arrived Slovakia yesterday, after the end of the national team camp in Austria. The players joined their teammates and started training with the rest of the team.

The list included four players from the national team: Ahmed Khalil, Walid Abbas, Majid Hassan and Ismael Al Hammadi, beside three payers from the Olympic team: Khalfan Hassan Al Nubi, Abdulaziz Salem Al Kaabi and Ahmed Abdullah Jamil.

From his side, the head coach of Shabab Alahli Rodolfo Arruebarrena said: “it is good to have all the players in the camp, we are preparing the team for long season in which we are facing big challenge, so we need all players”.

Shabab Alahli coach Rodolfo Arruebarrena shed a light on the team’s preparations in the current camp in Slovakia. The coach spoke in an exclusive interview to the official website, praising the efforts of the players and sending his thanks to the management for supporting the team and providing the technical staff with all necessary needs.


Rodolfo stressed on the importance of the camp, noting that the technical staff is working very hard to prepare the team well, to be ready for a long season with great challenges,  as Shabab Alahli defending his title in the UAE President’s Cup and Arabian Gulf Cup, in addition to the quest to regain the title of the Arabian Gulf League, beside participating in the AFC Champions League, and Super Cup against Sharjah in September.


Arruebarrena sent his thanks to the club management for organizing this ideal camp in a very proper location, noting that all the requirements are available, and the weather is good, which will encourage the technical staff and the players to do their best in preparations.


The coach praised the players’ efforts, saying that they are serious, and hard working, he expressed his happiness after the national and Olympic team players joined the team camp.


Rodolfo concluded by thanking the management of the club, which is making great efforts to sign new players, noting that the negotiations are continuing with a number of players, wishing them success.

Shabab Alahli continues preparation in Slovakia

Shabab Alahli first team continued preparations for the upcoming season, at its camp in Slovakia, by conducting two training sessions daily.

The technical staff led by the head coach Rodolfo Arruebarrena   focused on the physical aspects to raise the fitness level, beside some tactical trainings.

The camp in Slovakia will continue until July 29 before moving to Spain for 11 days camp. The team will return to Dubai on august 10 to prepare for the start of the season which will kickoff by Arabian Gulf Cup matches on August 23.

Shabab Alahli trains in Slovakia

The first team of the Shabab Al Ahli officially launched its preparations for the next season, after arriving yesterday to the capital Bratislava, the camp will continue up to July 29 of the same month.

The first training session led by the head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, and included physical training. The team will travel to Spain to complete the second phase of the camp which ends on August 10th.

Shabab Alahli starts preparations for the new season

Shabab Alahli first football team started preparations for the upcoming season 2019/2020 today, by medical examination for all players.


The team will depart to Slovakia on July 13 to start the first part of the preparatory camp. The camp will continue until July 29th. The team will then travel to Spain and continue the camp up to August 10 , during the camp Shabab Alahli  will play four friendly matches plus one match in Dubai.


Shabab Alahli will kickoff the season against Alain at Hazaa Bin Zayed Stadium in the first round of the Arabian Gulf Cup on August 23, while the Super Cup against Sharjah will take place on  September 14 at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai. In the Arabian Gulf League Shabab Alahli will face Hatta on September 19  at Hamdan Bin Rashid Stadium
