Mahdi Ali: we have to focus on the next match

Shabab Alahli head Coach Mahdi Ali held the prematch press conference heading to the match against Ajman, in the second leg of the Professional Cup quarterfinals, at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium   on Monday 7:30 pm.

Mahdi Ali stated that he is looking forward to getting positive result when facing Ajman in the second leg at their home ground, indicating that the opponent is strong team, that showed great performance in the last matches.

We must forget what happened in against Baniyas, and focus on the next match with Ajman, “we need to secure our place in the semifinal of the professional cup, we were the champions and have to fight to defend our title” he said.

Mahdi explained that the team will miss the services of more than 5 key players, he added: “some key players will be out of the action, but I have faith in all players and confident they will do their best to secure qualifying to the semifinal”.

Our player Mohamed Marzouq who accompanied the coach in the press conference said: “the match will not be easy; we have to focus on the next game against Ajman. We, as players, promise to give everything we have to achieve a result that qualifies the team to the semi-finals.”
