Excitedness was present in the first half, especially in the last fifteen minutes, when three goals were scored to break the silence of the game.
It was Cartabia, who broke the deadlock, after 36 minutes when he was teed up inside the box as his first-time volley was saved by Al Jazira’s goalkeeper Ali Khaseif and he nodded the rebound in.
The Pride of Abu Dhabi’s response came very quickly two minutes after Cartabia’s opener when Khalifa Alhammadi lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper to restore the parity for Al Jazira.
The Dubai-based side refused to go to the dressing rooms before going in front again, and they did so.
