“You Are the Strongest and the Best” – An Initiative Celebrating Emirati Women and Honouring the Mothers of Athletes
Shabab Al Ahli Club, represented by its Community Service Department, in cooperation with the “Shukran Li Ataak Voluntary Team,” celebrated Emirati Women’s Day through a community initiative under the slogan “You Are the Strongest and the Best”, in recognition of the contributions of Emirati women and their active role in serving the nation and society.
The initiative honoured 50 Emirati women in recognition of their dedication, achievements, and contributions across various fields. A number of mothers of Shabab Al Ahli athletes across different sports were also honoured, in appreciation of their vital role in supporting and encouraging their children throughout their sporting journeys.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of female community leaders in the fields of education, entrepreneurship, and community service, as well as representatives of the leadership and boards of public-benefit associations. Their presence highlighted the important role of Emirati women as active partners in community service and in creating success and achievement.
The initiative reflects a strong belief in the essential role of Emirati women within the family and society, while highlighting mothers as key partners in shaping success through their continuous support, encouragement, and motivation of their children.
The initiative was also inspired by the approach of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” in supporting and empowering women, recognising their contributions, and strengthening their role as active partners in the UAE’s journey of development and nation-building.
The initiative forms part of Shabab Al Ahli Club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its community role through initiatives and events targeting both citizens and residents, supporting various segments of society, contributing to the objectives of the Year of the Family, and promoting the values of solidarity, cooperation, and giving.
Shabab Al Ahli Club emphasises that sport is not limited to competition and achievement on the field; it also carries a broader social message that supports families, promotes the values of giving, and celebrates inspiring Emirati role models who embody excellence, dedication, and achievement.
