Shabab Al Ahli and Al Ain played out a 1-1 draw at Rashid Stadium in matchweek 2 of the Arabian Gulf League on Friday.
Laba Kodjo opened the score for the visitors in 55th minute, while Yousif Jaber equalized for the home side in 75th minute.
Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 4 points and moved to the 4th place in the table, and Alain is 5th place with the same number of points.
Speaking at the post match press conference, Gerard Zaragosa the head coach of Shabab Alahli, said: “in the first half we could finished the game because we were better and controlling the game, have some chances, but we failed to score”.
He added: “in the second half Alaian scored first and make it difficult for us, but we came back and had more chances to win, it is good we finished the game without new injuries, because we came with some injuries like Ahmed Khalil, Walid Abbas and Mohamed Marzouq”.
