Speaking at the prematch press conference, our head coach Mahdi Ali, stressed the importance of the upcoming match against Al Wahda in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final, noting that the two teams will meet again for 3rd time in the same week.
He said: “it is an important match for us because it the only competition we have a chance to win in the current season.”
He added, “We are focusing on the next match, and keen to achieve positive result that can help us to reach the final, we have two days to prepare the team, and hope we can do it”
Our rising star Badr Nasser who accompanied the coach in the press conference said, “Our next match against Al-Wahda is important for us as players. we are fully aware of its importance as it is in the semi-finals of the Professional League, which is different from the league matches. Will do our best to qualify for the final”.
