Speaking at the prematch press conference our head coach, Mahdi Ali stated that it is a must to achieve positive result against Al Gharafa, in the 4th matchweek of the AFC Champions League, to maintain the team’s chances to qualify to the next stage
Mahdi Ali said: “we are not lucky in the previous match, we created many chances but didn’t score goals in the first half, we need to focus more in the last third, we analyzed the performance and discussed with the players and will do our best to get the result we need”.
He added: “We have no other option than to fight for the first place in the group. We have to win the upcoming matches in order to qualify. We focus on tomorrow’s match to get a positive result, because it will motivate us more”.
