Speaking at the rematch press conference our head coach Paulo Sousa, confirmed that the match against Al Bataeh in ADNOC Pro League reflects the club’s respect for football and its opponents, stressing the importance of ending the season in the best possible way.
He said:
“We enter the match with full respect for the opponent and for the league. Our goal is to be the best version of ourselves, I have worked on motivating the players and guiding them strategically to face an opponent fighting to stay in the Pro League, which makes the match difficult and demands the highest level of efficiency from us.”
Regarding the team’s performance this season, the coach added:
“Looking at the statistics, our team has conceded the minimum goals and scored the most, which reflects significant progress and makes us proud of what the players have delivered. They deserve more than what we achieved, although certain circumstances affected our chances in the AFC Champions League.”
