Speaking at the prematch press conference, our head coach Paulo Sousa, stated that  the match against Al-Wehdat of Jordan in the second leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16 is considered a continuation of the first game, adding that Shabab Al-Ahli need to work for the remaining 90 minutes.

The coach said: “What is important is what we are working on and what was applied during the match, and this shows our mentality, the whole team must attack and defend at the same time, and with this advantage that we have we must not retreat, and we must be committed to all the concepts that we apply in the matches.”

He added: “For me, the mentality must be correct, we expect the opponent to take the risk to score, so we must deal with this, we must be in control of the match from beginning to end and strive to create opportunities and score goals to win the game.”

Our player Riquelme Hernandez, explained that the remaining ninety minutes against Al-Wehdat are very important, despite the victory achieved in the first leg, indicating that they consider it an important final, indicating that training continued throughout the week. He added: “we faced some difficulties in the previous match, we expect them to be less next home match”.
