Shabab Alahli qualified for the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf cup after beating Al Wasl 5-1 in the quarterfinal match at the Rashid Stadium in Dubai.
Mohamed Marzouq opened the score for the home side in the 19th minute, five minutes later Abdullah Jassem equalized for the visitors. In the second half Leonardo scored the second goal for Shabab Alahli in the 62 minute.
In the last ten minutes Shabab Alahli scored three goals, Federico Cartabia added the third in the 83rd minute, and Henrique Lovanour scored the fourth in the 88th minute, while Ahmed made it 5-1 in 90+3.
Shabab Alahli lineup included: Majed Nasser, Mohamed Marzouq, Abdelaziz Haikal, Ahmed Abdullah Jamil, Mohamed Jaber, Eid Khamis, Walid Hussein, Abdellah Al Naqbi, Abdullah Hareb, Leonardo and Lovanour.
The technical staff made three changes in the second half, where Cartabia participated in the place of Leonardo, Ahmed Khalil, substituted Eid Khamis, and Ahmed Abdellah Gishk replaced Harib Abdellah.
