Shabab Alahli trashes Khorfakkan 4-2

Shabab Alahli back to Dubai with well-deserved away win, after beatin host Khorfakkan 4-2 at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium in the first leg of the Arabian Gulf Cup quarter-final, which is held under the name of “Mohammed Bin Rashid”, in celebration of the 15th anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as the head of the UAE Government.

Shabab Alahli scored the first goal earlier through Ahmed Al Attas in the 12th minute following a perfect pass from Carlos Eduardo inside the box. seven minutes later, Heldon Ramos the second goal and Carlos Eduardo made it 3-0 three minutes to the end of the halftime.

Abdulaziz Haikal was sent off in the 67th minute, and Khorfakkan reduced the deficit through Bruno Lamas. Shabab Al Ahli’s Mohammed Marzooq then mistakenly scored an own goal to make it 3-2. However, the substitute Federico Cartabia scored the 4th goal in the 88th minute from penalty spot.
