Shabab Alahli head coach Mahdi Ali held today the prematch press conference, heading to the quarterfinals match in the UAE President’s cup against Emirates at Rashid Stadium on Tuesday, he was accompanied by our player Saeed Ahmed
Mahdi described the match as very important, stating that his team has to win it to reach semifinal of the competition, he considered the game as good chance for the players to restore their confidence, and come back to the winning ways after losing the last match in the league.
“our team didn’t achieve the desired result in the last match against Fujairah in the league, now we are going to a new match to face strong team that has good players, and played before in the pro league and we believe that the match will not be easy” said the coach.
He added: “in cup matches there is no chance to compensate if you lose, for that we must concentrate to get the result we are looking for, after Fujairah match we continued our preparations, there are some injured players like; Ahmed Khalil, Heldon, Cartabia and Marzouq”.
On the other side our player Saeed Ahmed who accompanied the coach in the press conference said: “it is decisive match, no way to lose because we need to qualify to the semifinal and continue in this important competition, as players we are keen to fight for the winning to keep our hopes alive in the president’s cup”.
