Speaking at the pre-match press conference, of the round 16 match in president’s cup, Rodolfo Arruabarrena the head coach of Shabab Alahli expected tough encounter against Kalba on Tuesday night at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium.
The coach pointed to the strong start of the competition, stating that the two big teams Al Wahda and Al Ain were eliminated by Dibba and Alwasl, and that means any team has to be careful and play with full concentration to avoid early elimination.
Rodolfo said the game will not be easy, especially for Shabab Alahli as the team is coming from a loss to Baniyas in the league, stressing that the team need to prepare well and strive to win in order to secure the pass to the quarterfinal stage.
The coach confirmed the absence of Ismail Al Hammadi, who will not participate due to an injury in the match of Alnasr, while Walid Hussein will be checked by the medical team to decide whether he will be ready or not.
Abdullah Al Naqbi Shabab Alahli midfielder who accompanied the coach in the press conference said “The cup matches do not recognize the names of the teams, we have to be more focused to win, and qualify to the next stage.”
