Gerard Zaragoza Shabab Alahli head coach held today the prematch press conference, heading to the matchweek 3 of the AFC Champions League against Shahr Khodro of Iran on Monday at Aljanoub stadium, accompanied by our rising star Eid Khamis.
“We are here after a long stoppage. Our last competitive match was in March, while our opponents have all played competitively in recent months,” said the 38-year-old.
“It will be difficult for other teams to know about us, because we have not played competitively recently, while they have all played in their leagues, so we have seen them and know more about them than they do about us.
“This is the biggest competition in Asia, and we are here to win. Our first two games will be against Shahr Khodro, who like us, do not have any points. We have to fight in these two games to collect maximum points.”
from his side Eid Khamis said:”all players are ready and keen to fight for winning, it is not easy to play a match every three days, sure will feel some pressure, but we have many experienced players who can help us in such situations”.
