Shabab Alahli defeated Jordan’s Al-Wehdat 3-0, in the preliminary round match of the AFC Champions League, at Rashid Stadium, and as a result, Shabab Alahli qualified to face the Al-Nasr KSA in playoff.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, and in the second half, at the 57th minute, Aziz Ganiev opened the score, then Renan Victor added the second goal in the 64th minute, before Munas Dabbur scored 3rd in the 87th minute.
Speaking in the post-match press conference our head coach Marco Nikolic, congratulated the players for qualifying to the next stage of the AFC Champions League, indicating that it is the first official match for the team.
The coach explained that the focus will shift to Ajman match in the league, adding that they did not want to postpone it, and will go for the best result.
Aziz Ganiev, who won the best player award in the match presented by the Asian Football Confederation, said that the team achieved the most important thing by qualifying for the next stage.
