Mahdi Ali, head coach of Shabab Alahli, assured that his team is ready for the round 16 match of the President’s cup against Aldhafra, at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium on 22 December 16: 50 pm
Speaking at the pre match press conference, Mahdi stated that the team is prepared well for the important match, and all the players are available except Carlos Eduardo and Igor Jesus for injuries.
He said: “the president’s cup is very special for us as it holds the name of H.H UAE president, we are the title holder and looking forward to qualifying to the next round and defend our title”.
He added: “the match will not be easy as we will face strong opponent at their home ground, Aldhafra is good team, after they changed the technical staff the team improved a lot, we know the team well and will do our best to win”.
Walid Abbas who attended the press conference with the coach said: “It is tough match against Al Dhafra, the cup matches are always difficult, especially since the round of 16 is knockout one match, and therefore we must fight hard to win and qualify to the quarterfinal”.
