Shabab Alahli, Al-Orouba share spoils

Shabab Alahli and Al-Orouba shared spoils after draw 1-1 in 3th matchweek of ADNOC Professional League, at Fujairah Stadium on Saturday.

The result saw that, Shabab Alahli in the third place with seven points, while Al-Oruba, collected their first point in the bottom of the table.

Shabab Alahli started the match with massive striker searching for an early, the first serious attempt came in the 22nd minute from the Iranian Ahmed Nour Allah, with a powerful shot from outside the box that hit the crossbar and pounced to Igor headed in the hands of the goalkeeper.

After several attempts Shabab Alahli succeeded to open the score through the Brazilian Carlos Eduardo in 28th.eleven minutes from visitor’s goal Ahmed Moussa scored the equalizer for the host.

In the second half Shabab Alahli intensified its attempts to score more goals, Igor Jesus had good chance to reach the back of the net, but his shot went over in the 78th minute. The last ten minutes witnessed more attack from Shabab Alahli, through Hareb Abdellah and Mehdi Qayedi but they fail to score until the final whistle.

 

Shabab Alahli lineup included: Majed Nasser, Walid Abbas, Hamdan Al-Kamali, Abdelaziz Heikal, Abdelaziz Sanqour, Majed Hassan, Ahmed Nour Allah, Mehdi Qayedi, Mohammad Juma Eid, Carlos Eduardo and Igor Jesus.

In the second half, Shabab Alahli coach Mahdi Ali made four substitutions, Majed Hassan, Abdelaziz Sanqour, Mohammad Gomaa, Ahmed Nour Allah, were replaced by Abdellah Al-Naqbi, Youssef Jaber, Hareb Abdellah, and Yuri Cesar.

 

 

speaking at the post match press conference, Mahdi Ali, the head coach of Shabab Alahli, explained that his team was looking to achieve a better result, but came out with a draw, he said: “We did not deal with the match well in the first, we missed easy chances in the second half. My thanks to the players for what they did. Al-Oruba played with a good defensive organization with counterattacks. We must forget this match and focus on the next game against Sharjah.”
