Shabab Alahli draw with  Ajman 1-1

Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 34 points in the 5th place, after the matchweek 20 of the Arabian Gulf League against Ajman ended 1-1 at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium.

Shabab Alahli stared the match with massive attack, Masharepove awarded penalty after being fouled inside the box, Maharepove took the penalty but it was saved by Ajman goalkeeper.

Against the run of the plat host Ajman took the lead in 40th minutes and the first half ended 1-0.

In the second half Shabab Alahli continued their constant pressure, and Masharipove scored the equalizer with a powerful shot in the 51st minute.

Shabab Alahli starting lineup included: Majid Nasser, Mohamed Marzouq, Mohamed Jaber, Walid Abbas, Ahmed Abdellah Jamil, Abdellah Alnaqbi, Adiljun, Masharipov, Carlos Eduardo, Cartabia, Igor Jesus.

Abdel Aziz Sanqour, Yahya Al-Ghassani and Ahmed Al-Attas participated in the second half, replacing Ahmed Abdellah Jamil, Cartabia, and Abdellah Alnaqbi.

Speaking at the post match press conference, Mahdi Ali, stated that he expected tough match, due to  Ajman’s position in the ranking table.

He said: “our plan was to score early to kill the match, but we missed many clear chances, including the penalty kick, then Ajman scored to make it more difficult for us, in the second half we managed to return and scored the equalizer, but unfortunately we didn’t get the three points”.
