Shabab Alahli shares spoils with Ahal Turkmenistan

Shabab Alahli and Ahal of Turkmenistan shared spoils after their match in the first matchweek of the group stage of the AFC Champions League ended 1-1, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

The four teams in Group C with one point, after Foolad Khuzestan and Qatar’s Al Gharafa ended in a draw.

The two teams goalless draw in the first half, while Ahal took the lead by scoring the first goal, and Azizjon Ganiev scored the equalizer  in the 79th minute from a penalty spot.

Shabab Alahli starting lineup included: Hassan Hamza, Mohamed Marzooq, Walid Abbas, Ahmed Jamil, Abdelaziz Sanqour, Azizjon Ganiev, Majed Hassan, Harib Abdallah, Mohamed Juma Eid, Gustavo Silva and Thomas Olsen.

Second half witnessed five substitutions that, Mohammad Juma, Gustavo, Mohammad Marzooq, Harib Abdallah, Abdelaziz Sanqour, replaced by Yahya Al Ghassani, Mehdi Ghayedi, Salmin Khamis, Omar Abdul Rahman, and Youssef Jaber.

Shabab Alahli will play the second matchweek on Sunday April 10th, against Foolad Khuzestan of Iran.
