Speaking at the prematch press conference, our head coach, Mahdi Ali, stressed the importance of the upcoming match against Al-Wahda, in the first leg of the Pro League Cup semi-final, at Rashid Stadium at 5:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 1
Mahdi described Alwahda as strong side, expecting tough match in the first leg, since the two teams are looking forward to qualifying to the final, and the result of the two matches will decide the winner.
“Our opponent is doing very well in all competitions, and they are in high level now, I know the match will be difficult for both sides” he said.
Mahdi called upon his players to focus and be more careful to get the result that can help the team to be in the final.
Regarding the available players for the match, he said: “We have two days to see the players and decide who will start the match”.
Mohamed Jaber who accompanied the coach in the press conference said: “ we will do our best to make our fans happy, we are all working hard to achieve our goal, reaching the final in this important competition.
