Mohammad Jumaa and Majid Hassan lead Shabab Alahli to win Kalba

Shabab Alahli continued their winning in the Arabian Gulf Leagueand defeated Ittihad Kalba 2-0, in the matchweek 14 at Rashid Stadium on Saturday. The host scored their goals in the first half through Mohammed Jumah and Majid Hassan in the 28th  and 30th.

The result saw Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 22 points in the 6th place in the Arab Gulf League table, after 14 matches, winning five, drew seven and lost two games.

Shabab Alahli started the match with a lineup that included: Majid Nasser, Mohammad Jaber, Abdulaziz Heikal, Hamdan Al-Kamali, Saeed Ahmed, Aziz Janief, Majid Hassan, Cartabia, Carlos Eduardo, Mohammad Jumaa and Igor Jesus.

The second half witnessed the participation of the Uzbek new signing Jalaluddin Mashribov, Abdullah Al-Naqbi, Yahya Al-Ghassani, in place of Cartabia, Mohammad Jumaa and Carlos Edurado.

Speaking at the post match press conference, Shabab Alahli head coach Mahdi Ali, explained that the team faced some difficulties at the start of the match, but scoring two goals within two minutes made things easy.

He said, “In the second half, we made some changes to rest some players and give chance for others. We play about eight matches a month and we need the all the players to be fully prepared.”

Mahdi expressed his happiness with the team’s victory despite many absences, especially in the defense line that loses many players, praising the performance of the players, wishing that the team can do better in the upcoming matches.
