Shabab Alahli lost against Alwahda 1-0 in the matchweek 21 of the Arabian Gulf League, at Shabab Alahli stadium in Alawir on Wednesday.
Despite the loss Shabab Alahli maintained the second spot with 41 points, while Alwahda moved to the fifth place with 34 points.
Leonardo Desoza scored the lone goal for the visitors in the 17th minute, after Shabab Alahli defense tried to clear the ball from inside the box.
In the second half Shabab Alahli intensified their attempts to equalize, the home side made two changes to strengthen the front, Ayouvi and Ahmed Jashk came in the place of Ismail Alhammadi and Abdullah Alnagbi, the hosts continued their strike but the result didn’t changed and the match ended 1-0 for Alwahda.

Shabab Alahli vs Alwahda Pre-match Press Conference

Shabab Alahli head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, admitted that the match against Alwahda in the matchweek 21 of the Arabian Gulf League will not be easy.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Argentina coach stressed the need to be in full readiness to face the challenge and fight to secure the three points to maintain the current ranking.

The coach pointed out that the team succeeded to reach the second spot in the table, stating that this is a result of hard work; he praised the efforts of the players, promising to continue working hard to achieve the desired goals.

“We are focusing on the upcoming matches, we have no time to think about anything else, our priority is to prepare the team for the league and the final of the UAE President’s Cup” he said.

About the injured players, the coach revealed: “Majed Hassan and Salmin Khamis are in the recovery stage, in all cases of injuries always we have a final training before the game to monitor the player to see if he is ready or not”.

From his side, Ahmed Jeshk, who accompanied the coach at the press conference, described Alwahda as one of the strong teams in the league, indicating that there is no difficult or easy game, confirming that all players are ready to get the three points.

Shabab Alahli Basketball Team to Camp in Bahrain

Shabab Alahli basketball team departed today to Bahrain, to hold a short camp from 15 to 19 April, as part of the preparations for the Gulf Cup, which will be played in Manama from 20 to 27 April.

The delegation is headed by Zayed Abdullah Zaid Khuwaydem, manager of the basketball team with 16 players, as well as the administrative and technical staff of the team plus one referee.

Eight teams will participate in the championship; they were divided into two groups. Shabab Alahli is in group B alongside with Almanama Bahrain, Alshamal of Qatar, and Alseeb from Oman. Shabab Alahli will face Alshamal in the first match on 21 April, then Alseeb on 22, and Almanama on April 23.

The quarter-finals will be played on 25, followed by the semi-final on 26 and final on April 27.

Shabab Alahli maintains the second spot

Shabab Alahli maintained the second place in the league table with 41 points, after beating Alwasl 4-2 in the matchweek 20 of the Arabian Gulf League, at Zabeel stadium Friday night.

The winning is the fourth for Shabab Alahli over Alwasl in the current season.

Ismail Hammadi opened the score for the visitors in the 35th minute, and Louvanor made it 2-0 in the 43rd, and after 10 minutes from the start of the second half, Alwasl awarded a penalty and Caio scored the first goal for his side.

Shabab Alahli came back to score the third goal in the 77th minute through Ahmed Khalil, while Louvanor added the fourth goal in 84th minutes.

Just two minutes to the final whistle Matthaus de Silva scored the second goal for Alwasl to make it 4-2.

Shabab Alahli moved to the second spot in the league table with 38 points, after winning Dibba 3-1 in the 19th matchweek of the Arabian Gulf League at Shabab Alahli stadium in Alawir Friday evening. Dibba remained in the bottom of the table with 8 points.

Mauro Diaz opened the score for the home side in 34th minute, from long distance shoot, while Ahmed Yusuf leveled the score for the visitors just two minutes to the end of the first half.

In the second half Shabab Alahli added two more goals, by Walid abbas in the 50th minute, and Ahmed Khalil in the 56th minute.

Shabab Alahli head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, confirmed that his team is ready for the 19th matchweek of the Arabian Gulf League, against Dibba on Friday at Alawir Stadium, stressing the need to win.

Shabab Alahli wins Arabian Gulf Cup

Shabab Alahli crowned as champions of the Arabian Gulf Cup, after beating Alwahda 3-1 in the final match at Hazaa Bin Zayed Stadium Friday night.

Shabab Alahli took the lead through Lovanour in 40th minute, and Leonardo leveled the score for Alwahda in the last minute of the first half.

The result didn’t change in the second half, the match went to extra time, and Ayovi scored twice for Shabab Alahli in 98 and 107 minute.

Shabab Alahli became first team to win A G Cup four times after they were the champions of 2012-2014 and 2017. And the club is now the permanent owners of the cup.

Shabab Alahli to President’s Cup final

Shabab Alahli booked their place in the UAE President’s Cup final to face Aldhafra, after trashing Alwasl 5-1 in the semifinal match at Al Maktoum stadium on Friday.

Alwasl took the lead from the penalty spot by Caio Kanedo in the 22nd minute, and Walid Abbas equalized for Shabab Alahli in 45+2 minute, in the second half Shabab Alahli added four goals, Luvanour in 54, Mauro Diaz in the 65th minute, Majed Hassan in the 80th minute and substitute Ayovi in the 87th minute.

Shabab Alahli started the match with early massive attack, with a powerful shot from Ahmed Khalil denied by Alwasl goalkeeper.

The referee awarded a penalty for Alwasl and Caio Kanedo opened the score in 22nd minute.

In the dying minutes of the first half, Walid Abbas leveled the score for Shabab Alahli, ending the first half with a 1-1 .

In the second half, Shabab Alahli dominated the match, and Luvanour scored the second goal in 54 minute after receiving a brilliant pass from Majed Hassan. 11 minutes later Mauro Diaz made it 3-1.

The referee awarded a second penalty for Alwasl and Majed Nasser blocked the shot from Caio to keep the score unchanged.

Shabab Alahli appeared to be more offensive in the final ten minutes, and Majed Hassan scored the fourth goal in the 80th minute with a long-range shot, while substitute Ayouvi added the fifth in 87th minute.

Shabab Alahli will face Aldhafra in the final after the late qualified with a 2-1 win over Sharjah.

Shabab Alahli beats Alnasr and qualifies to AG Cup final

Shabab Alahli reached the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup, after beating rival Alnasr 3-1 in penalty shootout, following 1-1 draw in the 120 minutes match.

Shabab Alahli will meet the winner of the second semifinal match between Alwahda and Banyas which will be played next Friday.

After goalless draw in the first and second half, the two teams played two extra times, Shabab Alahli took the lead through Emiliano from penalty spot in 105 mintue, and Alnasr leveled the score when Alvaro Negredo converted the penalty just two minutes to the final whistle.

In the penalty shootouts, Emiliano, Diaz and Ayouvi scored for Shabab Alahli while the goalkeeper Majed Naser saved two penalties. Negredo, Junior Dutra, and Habib Alfardan missed for Al Nasr, and Salem Saleh scored.

Shabab Alahli defeats Alain 2-0

Shabab Alahli returned to winning by defeating Alain 2-0 in the matchweek 17 of the Arabian Gulf League at Shabab Alahli stadium in Al Awir, on Thursday. Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 32 points in the fourth place and Alain remained second with 35 points.

Lovanour Henrique scored the first goal in the seventh minute, and Ahmed Khalil extended his team’s lead by scoring the second goal in the 84th minute. While Alain completed the match with nine players after Muhannad Al Enezi and Abrahemia Diakih were sent off.

Just seven minutes from the start Lovanour Henrique opened the score, taking advantage of Abdul Aziz Haikal’s pass from the right.

In the second half Alain tried to level the score by intensifying its attacks, but failed to reach back of the net and in 70 minutes red card was shown to Muhannad Al-Enezi, followed by substitute Ibrahima Diake after nine minutes.

Six minutes to the final whistle, Ahmed Khalil scored the second goal with a header to secure the three points for his side.

Rodolfo Arruabarrena the head coach of Shabab Alahli held the pre-match press conference, heading to next match against Alain in the match week 17 of the Arabian Gulf League, on 28 February at Shabab Alahli stadium in Alawir.

Rodolfo described the match as important, especially after losing to Sharjah in the previous round, stressing the need to focus more and play seriously to win and collect the three points.

MAME THIAM GUIDES AJMAN TO 2-2 DRAW WITH SHABAB AL AHLI

Mame Thiam scored a brace as Ajman came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Shabab Al Ahli at the Shabab Al Ahli Stadium in matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League on Friday.

The hosts had more ball possession in the early stages of the game and they managed to translate it into goals after 18 minutes. Mauro Diaz sent a perfect low cross inside the box before Jaime Ayovi slotted past Ajman keeper Ali Al Hosani to give his side a 1-0 advantage.

The Oranges pushed forward to level the scoreline. Four minutes later, Adel Hermach’s effort was denied by Shabab Al Ahli keeper Majed Naser. Mame Thiam also tried his luck but his header was diverted into a corner by Naser.

As the guests were looking to score their first goal, the hosts managed to double their lead in the 37th minute. Luvannor Henrique De Souse made a good run on the left flank before passing to Emiliano Vecchio who struck the ball perfectly, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

Ajman, however, were able to reduce the deficit only four minutes later through Mame Thiam. The Senegalese forward found the ball inside the box following Hassan Abdulrahman’s corner-kick and slotted home to make it 2-1 before the break.

As the time passed, Shabab Al Ahli looked to be heading closer to collecting the three points. However, the Oranges kept fighting and Thiam eventually netted his second of the night, with seven minutes to go. Stanley Nka dribbled past the hosts’ defenders before passing the ball to Thiam inside the box, who sent a first-time finish to make it 2-2.

Walid Abbas came close to netting a last-gasp winner for Shabab Al Ahli but his effort went wide as both sides shared the spoils.

In the dying moments of the game, Ajman keeper Al Hosani went off injured after his side had used all three substitutes, forcing Abdulla Malalla to stand between the sticks.

Following the draw, Shabab Al Ahli now sit fourth on 29 points, nine above seventh-placed Ajman.

Shabab Alahli returned home with the three points, beating Aljazira with a late goal by substitute Ahmed Khalil in 93th minute in the matchweek 14 of the Arabian Gulf League at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Shabab Alahli is now in the fourth place with same number of points with Aljazira and Alain28 points, and just three points from the table leader Sharjah.

Shabab Alahli Crowned champion of Vice President’s Cup of Handball

In the presence of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Head of Sports Games Sector at Shabab Alahli Club, the handball team at the club was crowned champion of the UAE Vice President’s Cup of Handball, after beating Sharjah in the final 23/22.

After the end of the game, UAE Handball Federation officials crowned Shabab Alahli with the Cup and the gold medals, while Sharjah received silver medals.

Shabab Alahli wins Aljazira to reach AG Cup semifinal

Shabab Alahli qualified to the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup, after defeating Al-Jazira 4-2 at Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium Thursday night.

Just two minutes from the starting Salmin Khamis scored own goal for Aljazira when he tried to clear the ball, but it went to the back of the net, in 40th minute Jaime Ayovi leveled the score for Shabab Alahli, and in the last minute of the first half Jaime Ayovi scored again to make it 2-1 for home side.

Nacer Barazite scored the second goal for Aljazira in the 69th minute, and in the dying minutes the substitute Ahmed Abdallah Jeshk scored two consecutive goals in the 90 + 3 and 90 + 5 to secure a spot at the semi-final of the Arabian Gulf Cup for Shabab Alahli.

Shabab Alahli Becomes First Team to Win Fujairah Home

Shabab Alahli became the first team to defeat Fujairah at home in the league matches this season, after winning the matchweek 13 of the Arabian Gulf League 1-0 at Fujairah stadium on Friday.

Shabab Alahli finished the first round of the league in the fourth place with 25 points, just six points from the winter champion Sharjah, while Fujairah remained with 13 points in the 11th place.

The two teams played goalless draw in the first half, while Salmin Khamis scored the lone goal in the last minute to give his side the three points.

Shabab Alahli Qualified to the Quarterfinal of President’s Cup, after winning Kalba 3-0 in the 16th round at Rashid Bin Saeed stadium Sunday night, goal were scored by Jamine Ayovi in 24th minute, Luvanour in 6oth minute, and Emiliano in 89th minute.

Shabab Alahli Club and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement, by which Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One will be the main sponsor of the club’s first football team for the season 2018-2019.

Shabab Alahli achieved their third consecutive win in the league, after beating Alwasl in the matchweek 7 of the Arabian Gulf League 3-2, at Shabab Alahli club stadium in alawir, Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 12 points in the 5th place in the table, while Alwasl remained with seven points in 9th place.

As per directives of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Sector at Shabab Alahli Club, the basketball team signed three foreign players:
Justin Anthony Carter, Michael Charles Meyer and Mamadou Ndayi. The club also signed a contract with the Egyptian coach Ahmed Mari as head coach for the team.

Pro League Committee presented Shabab Alahli private academy as the best practice in this field, during the meeting with the club representatives, held yesterday at UAE football association premises, in the presence of Hamad Al Junaibi, Director of Licensing Department in PLC.

Abdullah Al Naqbi scored yesterday in the 22nd round of the Arabian Gulf League matches which raised Al Wasl to 41 points, while Shabab AlAhli Dubai stopped at fifth place with 31 points.

Shabab AlAhli Dubai Club honored the stars of the Karate team after their domination for the titles of the season for men and women in various ages, in the presence of Ali Jassem team supervisor, Mohammed Abdul Aziz, Technical Manager and the presence of General Nasser Al-Razzouqi, President of the UAE Karate Federation Who praised the results of Shabab AlAhli Dubai team this season after they have won many tournaments for both boys and girls and they ended by their winning for the General League shield which was held last Friday.

At the women’s level, the team which is consisted of Fatima Salem-Nadine, Maram Ziad, won the General League Shield for Cometa, Also Girls’ team which is composed of Fatima Salem – Nadine Hossam – Jana Mohammed – Lian Jamil, won the General League Shield of Cometa.

The Club teams continued their domination for all championships by winning the girls’ team of the General League Shield of Cometa and team was included Mariam Abdullah Al Balushi, Geni Mohammed, Lian Jameel, Jude Khairis.

The academy organized a general festival which is being held for the fourth time after it was started in Hatta on 17 February, then at Al Nasr Club on 24 February , And then moved to Al Wasl club on 3 March and finally concluded the festival at Shabab AlAhli Dubai club on the last Friday

The festival was attended by Dr. Moussa Abbas, GM of the Shabab AlAhli Academy, who is keen to communicate with young children and talk to them throughout the day about their thoughts during the festival, which witnessed a number of Shows from “Thakhor Association” And popular dances included (yolk – swords ), In addition to the theater team of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club from the National Association of voluntary and poetry poems ( In Love of Zayed)

and a theatrical Show of the Sawaed Zayed Volunteer Team. Croatian striker Eric Ante scored the only goal of Shabab Alahli in the 81st minute to complete the ninth title and score the record which he currently shares with the Sharjah team.

Shabab Alahli organizes “Friendly” Lecture

The Department of Community Service at Al-Aweer Shabab Alahli Club in Dubai organized an awareness lecture for 11 years under the title “Friendship”. It is part of a cultural awareness program that is presented to all the club’s age stages throughout the season and in cooperation with the Khalifa Program to enable students to build, improve and develop youth talents in the cultural fields. And athletes to be qualified and to the extent of responsibility to achieve the goals and aspirations in all areas present and future.

The lecture was presented by Lt. Col. Ali al-Zubayani, who began by defining the meaning of friendship and that it is a beautiful word that brings together the members of the society. The supreme goal is mutual respect and avoid making trouble with others. The lecturer explained that friendship is based on love, communication, honesty, affection and commitment to others.

The lecture was attended by Dr. Musa Abbas, Director of the Football Academy at Shabab Alahli Club in Dubai. He thanked the Department of Community Service at the General Command of Dubai Police for its role. In spreading the cultural and societal awareness of the fruitful and constructive between the players in the club and the community in general.
