Shabab Alahli lost against Alwahda 1-0 in the matchweek 21 of the Arabian Gulf League, at Shabab Alahli stadium in Alawir on Wednesday.
Despite the loss Shabab Alahli maintained the second spot with 41 points, while Alwahda moved to the fifth place with 34 points.
Leonardo Desoza scored the lone goal for the visitors in the 17th minute, after Shabab Alahli defense tried to clear the ball from inside the box.
In the second half Shabab Alahli intensified their attempts to equalize, the home side made two changes to strengthen the front, Ayouvi and Ahmed Jashk came in the place of Ismail Alhammadi and Abdullah Alnagbi, the hosts continued their strike but the result didn’t changed and the match ended 1-0 for Alwahda.

Shabab Alahli head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, admitted that the match against Alwahda in the matchweek 21 of the Arabian Gulf League will not be easy.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Argentina coach stressed the need to be in full readiness to face the challenge and fight to secure the three points to maintain the current ranking.

The coach pointed out that the team succeeded to reach the second spot in the table, stating that this is a result of hard work; he praised the efforts of the players, promising to continue working hard to achieve the desired goals.

“We are focusing on the upcoming matches, we have no time to think about anything else, our priority is to prepare the team for the league and the final of the UAE President’s Cup” he said.

About the injured players, the coach revealed: “Majed Hassan and Salmin Khamis are in the recovery stage, in all cases of injuries always we have a final training before the game to monitor the player to see if he is ready or not”.

From his side, Ahmed Jeshk, who accompanied the coach at the press conference, described Alwahda as one of the strong teams in the league, indicating that there is no difficult or easy game, confirming that all players are ready to get the three points.

Shabab Alahli basketball team departed today to Bahrain, to hold a short camp from 15 to 19 April, as part of the preparations for the Gulf Cup, which will be played in Manama from 20 to 27 April.

The delegation is headed by Zayed Abdullah Zaid Khuwaydem, manager of the basketball team with 16 players, as well as the administrative and technical staff of the team plus one referee.

Eight teams will participate in the championship; they were divided into two groups. Shabab Alahli is in group B alongside with Almanama Bahrain, Alshamal of Qatar, and Alseeb from Oman. Shabab Alahli will face Alshamal in the first match on 21 April, then Alseeb on 22, and Almanama on April 23.

The quarter-finals will be played on 25, followed by the semi-final on 26 and final on April 27.

Shabab Alahli maintained the second place in the league table with 41 points, after beating Alwasl 4-2 in the matchweek 20 of the Arabian Gulf League, at Zabeel stadium Friday night.

The winning is the fourth for Shabab Alahli over Alwasl in the current season.

Ismail Hammadi opened the score for the visitors in the 35th minute, and Louvanor made it 2-0 in the 43rd, and after 10 minutes from the start of the second half, Alwasl awarded a penalty and Caio scored the first goal for his side.

Shabab Alahli came back to score the third goal in the 77th minute through Ahmed Khalil, while Louvanor added the fourth goal in 84th minutes.

Just two minutes to the final whistle Matthaus de Silva scored the second goal for Alwasl to make it 4-2.

Mauro Diaz opened the score for the home side in 34th minute, from long distance shoot, while Ahmed Yusuf leveled the score for the visitors just two minutes to the end of the first half.

Shabab Alahli head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, confirmed that his team is ready for the 19th matchweek of the Arabian Gulf League, against Dibba on Friday at Alawir Stadium, stressing the need to win.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the coach explained that the game will be tough, because the opponent will fight to get the three points to escape the relegation zone, which makes the game more difficult.

Rodolfo stated that Shabab Alahli must focus on the matches that await the team in the coming weeks and said: “am not thinking about the future now, we currently concentrate on the next games in the league, besides preparing the team for the final of the UAE President’s Cup”.

“We have to work hard, and collect more points to achieve the goals set in the two competitions” he added.

Shabab Alahli midfielder Emiliano, who accompanied the coach at the press conference, stated that such matches are always difficult since each team has his own goals.

Shabab Alahli club in collaboration with PLC, organized media training workshop for the players on, it was attended by 58 players from the first team and Under 21 team, and their technical and administrative staff.

The workshop organized at the premises of the club in Al Awir, as per UAE and AFC club Licensing Regulations for the season 2019-2020.

The lectures covered topics such as handling the different types of media outlets and the standards for live and pre-recorded TV interviews. The lectures also touched on the importance of media in a player’s career, handling social media networks and other relevant topics.

Shabab Alahli crowned as champions of the Arabian Gulf Cup, after beating Alwahda 3-1 in the final match at Hazaa Bin Zayed Stadium Friday night.

Shabab Alahli took the lead through Lovanour in 40th minute, and Leonardo leveled the score for Alwahda in the last minute of the first half.

The result didn’t change in the second half, the match went to extra time, and Ayovi scored twice for Shabab Alahli in 98 and 107 minute.

Shabab Alahli became first team to win A G Cup four times after they were the champions of 2012-2014 and 2017. And the club is now the permanent owners of the cup.

Shabab Alahli booked their place in the UAE President’s Cup final to face Aldhafra, after trashing Alwasl 5-1 in the semifinal match at Al Maktoum stadium on Friday.

Alwasl took the lead from the penalty spot by Caio Kanedo in the 22nd minute, and Walid Abbas equalized for Shabab Alahli in 45+2 minute, in the second half Shabab Alahli added four goals, Luvanour in 54, Mauro Diaz in the 65th minute, Majed Hassan in the 80th minute and substitute Ayovi in the 87th minute.

Shabab Alahli started the match with early massive attack, with a powerful shot from Ahmed Khalil denied by Alwasl goalkeeper.

The referee awarded a penalty for Alwasl and Caio Kanedo opened the score in 22nd minute.

In the dying minutes of the first half, Walid Abbas leveled the score for Shabab Alahli, ending the first half with a 1-1 .

After goalless draw in the first and second half, the two teams played two extra times, Shabab Alahli took the lead through Emiliano from penalty spot in 105 mintue, and Alnasr leveled the score when Alvaro Negredo converted the penalty just two minutes to the final whistle.

Shabab Alahli returned to winning by defeating Alain 2-0 in the matchweek 17 of the Arabian Gulf League at Shabab Alahli stadium in Al Awir, on Thursday. Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 32 points in the fourth place and Alain remained second with 35 points.

Lovanour Henrique scored the first goal in the seventh minute, and Ahmed Khalil extended his team’s lead by scoring the second goal in the 84th minute. While Alain completed the match with nine players after Muhannad Al Enezi and Abrahemia Diakih were sent off.

Just seven minutes from the start Lovanour Henrique opened the score, taking advantage of Abdul Aziz Haikal’s pass from the right.

In the second half Alain tried to level the score by intensifying its attacks, but failed to reach back of the net and in 70 minutes red card was shown to Muhannad Al-Enezi, followed by substitute Ibrahima Diake after nine minutes.

Mame Thiam scored a brace as Ajman came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Shabab Al Ahli at the Shabab Al Ahli Stadium in matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League on Friday.

The hosts had more ball possession in the early stages of the game and they managed to translate it into goals after 18 minutes. Mauro Diaz sent a perfect low cross inside the box before Jaime Ayovi slotted past Ajman keeper Ali Al Hosani to give his side a 1-0 advantage.

The Oranges pushed forward to level the scoreline. Four minutes later, Adel Hermach’s effort was denied by Shabab Al Ahli keeper Majed Naser. Mame Thiam also tried his luck but his header was diverted into a corner by Naser.

As the guests were looking to score their first goal, the hosts managed to double their lead in the 37th minute. Luvannor Henrique De Souse made a good run on the left flank before passing to Emiliano Vecchio who struck the ball perfectly, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

Ajman, however, were able to reduce the deficit only four minutes later through Mame Thiam. The Senegalese forward found the ball inside the box following Hassan Abdulrahman’s corner-kick and slotted home to make it 2-1 before the break.

Arruabarrena explained that they worked very hard during the break to prepare the team for the second leg, and the national team players joined the camp yesterday and trained with the rest of the team, adding that the team is ready for the match.

The coach stated that the game will not be easy, describing Aljazeera as one of the strong teams that have achieved good results; Rodolfo promised that Shabab Alahli will be keen to play the game with the highest concentration to collect the three points.

Just two minutes from the starting Salmin Khamis scored own goal for Aljazira when he tried to clear the ball, but it went to the back of the net, in 40th minute Jaime Ayovi leveled the score for Shabab Alahli, and in the last minute of the first half Jaime Ayovi scored again to make it 2-1 for home side.

Nacer Barazite scored the second goal for Aljazira in the 69th minute, and in the dying minutes the substitute Ahmed Abdallah Jeshk scored two consecutive goals in the 90 + 3 and 90 + 5 to secure a spot at the semi-final of the Arabian Gulf Cup for Shabab Alahli.

The coach explained that they have no other option than winning the game to qualify to the semifinals, pointing out to the knock out system applied in this stage, adding that Shabab Alahli and Aljazira are two big teams, and both of them are looking forward to win and qualify to the semifinal.

Rodolfo stressed the need to focus more on the next game, and continue working to improve the performance, adding that there are small details that make the difference in the matches.

Shabab Alahli became the first team to defeat Fujairah at home in the league matches this season, after winning the matchweek 13 of the Arabian Gulf League 1-0 at Fujairah stadium on Friday.

Shabab Alahli finished the first round of the league in the fourth place with 25 points, just six points from the winter champion Sharjah, while Fujairah remained with 13 points in the 11th place.

Shabab Alahli coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena held a press conference on Wednesday December 12, at Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Stadium in Al Aweer, heading into the match with Fujairah, in the matchweek 13 of the Arabian Gulf League, next Friday at Fujairah club Stadium.

The coach stressed the importance of the match and the necessity of collecting the three points, especially as the team returns from a loss to Baniyas in the last league match, calling upon his players to focus and work hard so as to win and narrow the gap with the top teams.

Rodolfo expected difficult game against Fujairah, describing his opponent as strong especially when they play at home, pointing out that they have good players in the midfield and front.

Commenting on Shabab Alahli preparations the coach said: “We look forward to win. All the players are ready and there are no absences except Walid Hussein and Ismael Al Hammadi “.

Fromm his side, Abdul Aziz Al-Kaabi, who accompanied the coach at the press conference, stressed the keenness of the players to win and come back with the three points, adding that all games are important and they will fight to win.

Aruabarena praised the effort of his player, pointing out that the team was the better side during the match, and succeeded to score three goals, the coach emphasized that the match was not easy, and his team deserved to win and qualify to the next stage.

Regarding the team which Shabab Alahli will face in the quarterfinal Arruabarrena said “The draw will determine our opponents in the quarter-finals, but we have to be ready to face any team that qualified”.

Shabab Alahli Qualified to the Quarterfinal of President’s Cup, after winning Kalba 3-0 in the 16th round at Rashid Bin Saeed stadium Sunday night, goal were scored by Jamine Ayovi in 24th minute, Luvanour in 6oth minute, and Emiliano in 89th minute.

Shabab Alahli started the match with massive attack, trying to score early goal, the first chance was for Ayovi who failed to control the cross ball from Ahmed Jashak inside the box, in 24 minute Ayovi headed the ball to the back of the net after Kalba goalkeeper failed to clear the ball from Abdella Alnaqbi.

In the second half Shabab Alahli continued their attempts to score more goals, and Luvanour scored the second goal in the 60th minute, just one minute to the final whistle Emiliano made it 3-0, after he received brilliant pass from Ahmed Khalil.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, of the round 16 match in president’s cup, Rodolfo Arruabarrena the head coach of Shabab Alahli expected tough encounter against Kalba on Tuesday night at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium.

The coach pointed to the strong start of the competition, stating that the two big teams Al Wahda and Al Ain were eliminated by Dibba and Alwasl, and that means any team has to be careful and play with full concentration to avoid early elimination.

Rodolfo said the game will not be easy, especially for Shabab Alahli as the team is coming from a loss to Baniyas in the league, stressing that the team need to prepare well and strive to win in order to secure the pass to the quarterfinal stage.

The coach confirmed the absence of Ismail Al Hammadi, who will not participate due to an injury in the match of Alnasr, while Walid Hussein will be checked by the medical team to decide whether he will be ready or not.

Abdullah Al Naqbi Shabab Alahli midfielder who accompanied the coach in the press conference said “The cup matches do not recognize the names of the teams, we have to be more focused to win, and qualify to the next stage.”

Shabab Alahli lost 3-0 from their host Baniyas in the matchweek 12 of the Arabian Gulf League at Baniyas stadium, on Tuesday night, despite the loss Shabab Alahli remained fourth in the league table with 22 points, while Baniyas moved to the eighth place with 15 points.

In 36th minute Pedro Conde scored the first goal for the host from the penalty spot to give his side the lead, in the second half Luvannor Henrique De Souse was sent off, and then Pedro Conde scored the second goal in the 78th minute, while Geroge Lerwe made it 3-0 just nine minute before the final whistle converting a penalty.

The loss was the first for the head coach Rodolfo Arruebarrena in AG League match, the last defeat for the team in the league was in matchweek 4.

Rodolfo denied that they under estimate their opponent, pointing out that Shabab Alahli is always keen to prepare well for all matches, and respect all teams irrespective of their positions, the coach stated that Baniyas deserve to win the match, because they are the better side.

He said:”Baniyas scored first from penalty, and after the Luvanour received red card they had the advantage, they played well and scored two additional goals, while we failed to come back”.

He added: “it is hard to loose matches like this, now we have to continue working, focus and concentrate more and correct mistakes, it is important to prepare the team well and play match by match”.

Commenting on the match, he said “from the start we are controlling and had the advantage in ball possession, we scored the first goal, they drew from penalty and in the second half we are lucky to score earlier, in general I think the first half was better than second one”.

He added “the team showed good character and played well, and if we continue improving we can make good results, and move up to better position in the table, the results of top teams may help us as Sharjah drew with Kalba and Alwahda drew with Fujairah, and this indicates that there is no big difference between the teams, and shows the high level of the competition”.

The coach stated that he is working with his technical team to improve the level of the performance, explaining that it is easier to improve when the team is doing well and winning matches, adding that now they have more time to rest and then start preparations for the cup matches.

Shabab Alahli moved to the fourth place in the table, with 16 points, after winning the visitor Emirates 2-1 in the matchweek 9 in the Arabian Gulf League played at Shabab Alahli stadium in Alawir on Monday.

Shabab Alahli Club and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement, by which Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One will be the main sponsor of the club’s first football team for the season 2018-2019.

The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency SaeedHumaid Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Meydan City Corporation, HE Issam Issa Al Humaidan, HE Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, HE Ibrahim Abdul Malik, HE Sami Ahmed Al Qamzi and HE Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman.

Shabab Alahli achieved their third consecutive win in the league, after beating Alwasl in the matchweek 7 of the Arabian Gulf League 3-2, at Shabab Alahli club stadium in alawir, Shabab Alahli raised its tally to 12 points in the 5th place in the table, while Alwasl remained with seven points in 9th place.

The first half ended 1-1, the visitor took the lead from penalty spot through the Brazilian Caio Canedo Correa in the 30th minute, and the home side leveled the score after five minutes when Emiliano Vecchio converted a penalty into the back of the net in the 35th minute.

Rodolfo Arruabarrena to the media,the press conference was attended by Khalid Buhimaid, member of
the board of directors for Shabab Alahli Football Company, and Mohamed Ahmed the team manager.
Arruabarrena who replaced the former head coach Sierra, started the press conference by expressing
his happiness to coach a big team like Shabab Alahli, stating that negations went fast as the two parties
were serious and keen to reach agreement, promising to work hard to achieve the desired goals.
The new coach disclosed that his strategy will be based on creating a group that works in a team spirit,
pointing out that Shabab Alahli has good and experienced players; he knows most of them, confirming
that the team's chances are still alive, with remaining 21 matches in the league.
From his side Khalid Buhamaid, a member of the Board of Directors of Shabab Alahli Football Company,
promised to give their full support to the new coach and his technical staff, he thanked the former head
coach Sierra for his efforts.

Two goals in the second half, from the duo Emiliano Vecchio and Jaime
Ayovi, secured deserved away win for Shabab Alahli over their host
Alwasl, in the third round of the Arabian Gulf Cup, at Zabeel stadium.
Shabab Alahli moved to the 4th place with three points after playing
two matches, while Alwasl is 6th with one point from three matches.
The two sides played goalless draw in the first half, which witnessed
some chances for the both teams.
In the 64 th minutes Shabab Alahli took the lead, when Emiliano Vecchio

As per directives of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Sector at Shabab Alahli Club, the basketball team signed three foreign players:
Justin Anthony Carter, Michael Charles Meyer and Mamadou Ndayi. The club also signed a contract with the Egyptian coach Ahmed Mari as head coach for the team.

Shabab Alahli Head Coach Jose Luis Sierra held a press conference on Sunday October 7, at Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium, heading into the game against Al wasl in the 3^rd round of the Arabian Gulf Cup, at Zabeel stadium on October 9.

The coach insisted that the cup matches are no less important than league matches, stating that the team needs to win, especially after losing the first game in the competition against Alwahda, describing the match as very difficult against tough opponent.

Sierra revealed that the squad will see some changes due to the absence of the first and Olympic national team players, and some other players for injuries and suspension, considering the game as a good opportunity for the substitute players.

Pro League Committee presented Shabab Alahli private academy as the best practice in this field, during the meeting with the club representatives, held yesterday at UAE football association premises, in the presence of Hamad Al Junaibi, Director of Licensing Department in PLC.

The meeting discussed with the clubs the new regulations of club licensing, and inform them that establishing private academy will be compulsory to obtain the license next season. Speaking in the post-match press after losing against Al Wahda in Arabian Gulf Cup, Shabab Al Ahli Head Coach Jose Luis Sierra, disclosed that his team was the better side in the match, considering the loss as an unfair result compared to the performance of the two teams, indicating that the Shabab Al Ahli deserved to get a better result.

Yesterday, Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai won the title of the President Cup of Karate in Cometah’s competition at Al-Jazira Hall followed by Al Nasr then Kalba and finally with Abu Dhabi Police at the fourth place.

The Federation of the game headed by General M ‘Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al-Razzouqi and the officials of the Federation honored the winners where Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai won the first place in both girls and cubs categories as well as the junior girl and boy category while al Nasr was crowned the category of men and women and Shabab AL Ahli Dubai won the General excellence shield .

The Featured Technical staff was also honored where the technical staff of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai won the first place and the cup was handed by coach Mohamed Abdul Aziz.

Abdullah Al Naqbi scored yesterday in the 22nd round of the Arabian Gulf League matches which raised Al Wasl to 41 points, while Shabab AlAhli Dubai stopped at fifth place with 31 points.

Shabab Alahli Dubai was qualified for the semi-finals of President Cup, following their exciting win over Sharjah (1-0) yesterday at the match held at the Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium at Ajman Club.

Croatian striker Eric Ante scored the only goal of Shabab Alahli in the 81st minute to complete the ninth title and score the record which he currently shares with the Sharjah team.

Shabab Alahli cycling team with the stars Majid Al Balushi, Nasser Saif Al Maamari, Sultan Al Nubi and Walid Al Naqbi, won the UAE Championship for adults after winning the first place by achieving the best time of one hour, 26 minutes and 24 seconds in the championship race organized by the Cycling Federation Nizwa in Sharjah for 60 km distance.
